The FILMharmonic Orchestra is known for its performances of iconic film music and popular classical repertoire. This album features 10 films famous worldwide including Schindler’s List, Cinema Paradiso, and The Lord of the Rings. Classical pieces from three films are also featured: Barber’s Adagio for Strings (Platoon), Mahler’s Adagietto (Death in Venice), and Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini (Somewhere in Time).
